We value transparency and simplicity, particularly at a time when families already have enough to worry about. Our aim is to make the practical side of arranging a visit as straightforward as possible.
One clear fee.
No unexpected extras.
Our fee is a single, clear price for your in-home euthanasia visit, with no unexpected extras on the day.
There are no additional charges based on your pet’s size, the amount of sedation or medication required, where you live within our usual service area, or the time of day of your appointment.
The fee covers your veterinary visit, travel within our usual service area, sedation and medications, intravenous catheter placement where appropriate, euthanasia, time with your pet afterwards, and respectful transport for aftercare.
The only optional additional cost is if you choose private cremation with your pet’s ashes returned to you. This service is billed directly to you by the aftercare provider, rather than through Compassionate Paws.
Payment
Payment can be made when booking directly through our website.
If you prefer, we can send you an invoice, which can be paid by bank transfer or debit or credit card.
Cash payment is also welcome at the time of your visit.
Pet insurance
Many pet insurance providers will pay a benefit towards in home euthanasia and associated end of life care.
If you are making a claim, please let us know. We can provide the relevant invoice and veterinary records and, where appropriate, send these directly to your insurer to help make the process as straightforward as possible.
Private cremation and other aftercare
We understand that deciding what happens afterwards can be another difficult part of saying goodbye. We can help make these arrangements as straightforward as possible.
If you would like your pet’s ashes returned to you, private cremation can be arranged through Passing Paws or another aftercare provider of your choice.
Private cremation with ashes returned, along with any optional urns, keepsakes or memorial items you choose, is priced and billed directly by the aftercare provider. There is no separate aftercare charge from Compassionate Paws for arranging respectful transport of your pet.

This includes suburbs across metropolitan Perth, as well as many outer areas to the north, east and south. Some of the outer locations we regularly consider are listed below.
As a general guide, we can usually assist families within around an hour’s travel from the Perth CBD.
If you are just outside these areas, or a little further away, please call or message us. Depending on availability and travel time, we may still be able to assist.
